From a product and application perspective, the Linear Alkyl Benzene market is driven primarily by surfactants (especially LAS), which represent the overwhelming share of LAB use. In heavy-duty laundry liquids, industrial cleaners and dish-washing formulations, LAB is the foundational intermediate. 
Beyond surfactants, other niche uses are emerging—such as in specialty emulsifiers, industrial cleaning agents and even smaller volumes in agrochemicals or additives. These “other applications” segments are growing at a faster rate, albeit from smaller bases, and thus contribute to diversification of the LAB market over time.
