When Resistance Rises… Remember This!
If you’ve ever decided to make a positive change in your life—whether in your health, your marriage, or your walk with God—you’ve probably noticed something: the moment you push forward, something pushes back.
That’s not an accident. That’s resistance.
Nehemiah knew all about it. When he set out to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem, opposition came from every side—mockery, threats, and intimidation. Yet through every scheme of the enemy, Nehemiah stayed focused on the vision God had given him. Instead of giving up, he pressed in. And the result? In just 52 days, history shifted—because God’s people didn’t quit when the going got hard.
Here are a few lessons we can hold onto when resistance rises in our own live.
Resistance isn’t a sign of failure—it’s a sign you’re building something important.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. That’s not just Newton’s third law of physics, it is a timeless truth of spiritual dynamics! Breakthrough always invites backlash. When the Enemy can’t steal your calling, he’ll try to discourage you from pursuing it. If you’re feeling pushback, don’t assume you missed it—assume you’re on to something.
You don’t fight resistance alone—you fight it together.
Nehemiah stationed families on the wall, swords in hand. Half built, half defended—but all stood united. The truth is, none of us were meant to rebuild the ruins of our lives or our communities in isolation. Unity and wholehearted commitment turn individual striving into shared victory.
Revival requires resilience.
The work of God is both construction and confrontation. It takes a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other. The Enemy hopes discouragement will cause you to put down your bricks before the wall is finished. But the call of God is too valuable to quit halfway. Keep building. Keep praying. Keep believing. Revival never comes without at least some resistance.
So let me ask: Where are you experiencing resistance right now? Instead of seeing it as a reason to stop, what if you saw it as confirmation that you’re right where you’re supposed to be?
Resistance is evidence that God is building something worth defending in your life.

Don’t bow out—double down! Lean into the vision God has given you. Rally your people around you. Pick up your tool and your sword, and keep moving forward.
Your prayers matter. Your effort matters. Your perseverance matters. And one day, what feels like rubble will stand as testimony that the work was accomplished—not in your strength, but in God’s.
So stay in the fight. Don’t give resistance the last word. The building is happening—even now. Don’t quit and you’ll see new degrees of restoration.
